Here's the first really portable, rechargeable,
and affordable Practice Segment Timer that has ever been offered.
If you are a well organized coach and
you want to make sure that you cover all of the things in practice
that you want to cover, the ST 500 is perfect for you. It also
transmits a message to your players, and your coaches, that you want
a sense of professionalism
and
focus in your practices. Segment timers
are an important tool to keep almost every college and pro coach on
track in their practices. If you are a high school coach, the ST 500 is so
inexpensive, you can't afford not to have this valuable
coaching tool.
The ST500 now has a "remote pause" feature that lets
you pause the segment/time whenever you want a pause to occur in
practice.
Programs are saved from
the previous day's practice.....you can save similar segments and
erase unwanted segments and times. Average time to program a new
practice in is around 90 Sec......... Three buttons do all of the
programming....."Segment" button up or dn, "Minutes" button up or dn...(the
"up or dn" is the third button) You can pause the program
remotely during practice
or manually add or subtract time to any segment. You are not limited
to the number of segments that you can program in. Each
segment can contain up to 99 minutes, and each segment can be
different (or same) as the previous one.
The unit has a built in 25
second clock mode for use in each end zone during games (2 units
needed for this). You can buy one segment timer this year, and
another next year and then have the 25 second capability. The back
judge can also use the 60 second countdown capability for time outs.
A battery charger and
battery are included with the unit. Recharges overnight. Fence
attachments are included also. We can provide the plans for the
shelf shown in the above photo that can be built for less than
$39. It has hooks that attach to a fence and helps keep rain off of
the timer.
The Practice Sentineltm
will also give two short beeps two minutes before a segment
finishes
to alert you to wrap up your teaching and that the segment is close to ending.
Large 12" numbers can be
seen over 120 yards away in bright sunlight, and you can easily hear the
unit 400 Feet away.....perfect for football as well as
any outdoor or indoor sport.
Just a glance over at the timer
will tell you or your assistant coaches how much time is left in a
segment. Alternately displays
segment, then time, 2 sec. for segment, 4 sec. for time left in
a segment, on a continuous basis. To help you visually differentiate
between segment and time, the unit will rapidly blink during
the 2 sec. segment mode.
Rugged, tough, the ST500 is guaranteed
a full season against defects in manufacture. An overnight battery
charge will last many hours. Uses a smaller sealed automotive
type, long lasting battery. Easy to
carry.......the unit weighs less than twelve pounds.
